A classic from smoky bars in 1950s São Paulo, this cocktail was created by Italian immigrants to Brazil. Many Italians settled during the country's industrial revolution in the early 20th century and there are now more Italian descendants in the country than anywhere outside of Italy. Their traditions are fused with cachaça for this uniquely Brazilian drink.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Nossa Cachaça
- 1 oz sweet vermouth, such as Cocci di Torino
- 1 oz Cynar
Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add cachaça, Cynar, and vermouth. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass or tumbler over ice. Garnish with a lime twist and serve.
